The first Welder Vocational Skills Competition of 2018 was grandly held at Meg Machinery

On April 9, 2018, the first welder vocational skills competition was held in MeiG Machinery Factory. 33 contestants from 6 companies, including Qijiaqiao Community, Hangzhou Foster Applied Materials Co., Ltd., International Laminate Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Zhengchida Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Juhongkai Electric Co., Ltd., participated in the competition. Cao Yuanfa, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee and chairman of the trade union of Jincheng Street, Wu Jianlin, vice chairman, Zheng Baipeng, director of the Jinbei Street People's Congress Committee and chairman of the trade union, and Qian Hongfa, chairman of the Meige Machinery Trade Union, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The competition is divided into two contents: theoretical knowledge and practical operation, and the assessment weight is 20% according to theoretical knowledge and 80% practical operation. After completing the closed-book theoretical knowledge test, the contestants entered the practical operation site and appeared in four rounds in order of drawing. Wear protective clothing, inspect tools, and remove rust from welded pipes...... At the competition site, the welding machine roared, the arc light flashed, and every contestant was gearing up and seriously engaged in the competition, and they carefully polished and welded seamlessly. At the same time, the referees also strictly follow the rules of the game to observe the operation process of each player. After two hours of competition, the meticulously crafted "works" were presented in front of the examiners and the public one by one. After judging, the competition produced 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 5 third prizes. Our company's Sheng Ligang, Hu Xiaoping and Wang Beiyi won the second and third prizes respectively. In order to encourage our company's production front-line technicians to dare to compete, dare to fight, and be willing to learn, the company will give double rewards to the winners.

The competition was jointly sponsored by Jincheng and Jinbei Federation of Trade Unions, and undertaken by Zhejiang Meige Machinery Co., Ltd. It aims to combine the actual needs of machining enterprises to build a platform for front-line workers to learn skills, exchange technology and display skills, and create a working atmosphere to promote learning through competitions, enhance the enthusiasm of welders to learn business skills, and improve the professional quality of welder practitioners, so as to continuously improve business skills and produce higher quality products.
